- I just pointed out that the reference to the 'HTML3 standard' is incorrect
- and once HTML3 really comes along NetScape is in trouble. I didn't say just
- put your head in the sand and ignore NetScape, I myself use NHTML tags on
- my homepage. I just resent the attitude people show with respect to browsers
- that actually play exactly by the book. You are absolutely right to say that
- NHTML cannot be ignored _at the moment_. Once something official comes
- along however, there will be a clash between the de facto 'standard' and the
- official standard, giving everyone a headache and simply unnecessary work
- and kludges to support both (and larger code sizes etc., as if NetScape
- isn't bloated enough already).

-
- They are definitely not standing still, IBrowse is supporting many NHTML
- tags already and AWeb will have these incorporated in it's own compatibility
- mode. The difference is that NetScape Inc. has dozens of people and a
- comparably huge budget, whereas Amiga software is usually developed by
- enthousiastic individuals, often in their free time. If NetScape's own
- programmers had the quality of the Amiga programmers they would have a much
- better product also.
